Anna Maria Reverté
Born in Barcelona, she began her musical studies with her parents and then she continued at the Conservatory of Music in Barcelona, where she obtained the title of Professor of Piano and Professor of Solfège and where she also did superior studies of harmony, counterpoint and fugue. She studied carillon with M.D. Coll (Cross of St. George in 2000) and with L.’t Hart. After that she perfected these studies in the carillon schools in the Netherlands and Denmark. In parallel she gratuated in Philosophy and Educational Sciences at the University of Barcelona.
She has been awarded with several international carillon prizes and also she took part of the jury of the prestigious international competitions. She has performed throughout Europe and the USA. She has also recorded music for Catalunya Música Ràdio and for different CDs and has signed pieces for carillon solo and in combination with other instruments.
She is also the author of more than 400 arrangements for carillon, many of which are dedicated to the Catalan music. She is the carillonist of the Palau de la Generalitat, seat of the Catalan government in Barcelona, and responsible for its promotion since 1988, while promoting also the Catalan music in different international events.
